That is the official word from our government, 8/9 for US citizens and 9/7 for the rest of the world. However, I've heard the US gov't is keeping their side closed until 8/21.

Also, children under 12 are exempt from vaccine requirements, since there's no vaccine available for them.

Yes that is what I heard last night also.

Just read the border will open 8/9 to fully vaccinated people with a negative COVID test within 7 days.
Anyone else hearing the same?

While following Sunday's race on Race Monitor I noticed Jim Stout was coming thru the field then around lap three slowed by over 15 seconds, so I'm guessing he had a bit of an "incident"? At any rate, he fell to eighth overall before working his way back thru the pack to finish third.

I also "watched" Chris, Dick, and Randy run the entire race within sight of each other, which must have been pretty cool for the spectators.

Quick report from Mark is that he lost an engine - not good.

Reading the event Supps, it appears the track is offering test sessions on Friday afternoon/evening.

One of the highlights of the weekend for me;

Grass in my grill that didn't come from me mowing the lawn, Jim Stout (track owner) did the honors  :))

Sunday dawned clear with perfect conditions for racing.

We were gridded based on best lap from the Saturday PM race.

I landed in P1, Mark Mercurio was P2. At the drop of the green, we drag raced into the blind turn 1.

Mark pulled off almost immediately with engine woes.

That was a bummer for Mark, and for the many fans who came out with the sunshine.

Mark, myself and Jim Stout were running nearly identical lap times, we could have put on a pretty good race for the folks.

Jim was starting from the rear, so it ended up being a pretty uneventful run for 04 Camaro.

Sunday finish;

Nice to have a brewer sponsor the race;

Cheers!

Andy

Currently three V8RRS members signed up of 13 in the run group, but I understand at least one more will be signing up even though registration is officially closed:

. Randy Walker - GTA
. Dick Ruckh - GT2
. Andy Trought - SPO
. Mark Mercurio - SPO (ends up the problem at PittRace was the lower radiator hose collapsing at high RPMs)

Be safe and have fun...
